During the D23 Ultimate Disney Fan Event, Disney Experiences shared incredible new details about the upcoming Monstropolis Disney World land heading to Disney’s Hollywood Studios at Walt Disney World Resort. While construction continues behind the scenes on the highly anticipated door coaster attraction, Disney has confirmed that parts of this monstrous city will begin opening to human guests in 2027.

For generations, monsters and humans lived in mutual fear. Humans were considered highly toxic, and a single stray sock could trigger a city-wide "2319" decontamination protocol. However, ever since James P. Sullivan and Mike Wazowski discovered that human laughter generates ten times more power than screams, everything changed.

To bridge the gap between our two worlds, the city has established a brand-new Department of Human Relations. This department is spearheading H.U.M.A.N. Day—which stands for "Humans Understanding Monsters Are Nice."

1. Harryhausen’s Restaurant

The legendary setting for Mike and Celia’s famous date night is officially opening its doors to humans. This highly anticipated dining venue will feature a state-of-the-art Audio-Animatronics figure of the multi-tentacled sushi chef actively prepping meals behind the counter. While sushi will take center stage, the menu promises a diverse lineup of unique culinary creations perfect for a romantic meal with your own "Schmoopsie-poo."

2. Archie’s Scare Pig Pizza & MU Alumni Club

If you prefer comfort food, head over to Archie’s Scare Pig Pizza for a slice of the city’s top-rated pizza. Named after Fear Tech's six-legged mascot—who has become a beloved icon across rival campuses—this pizzeria sits right next door to the Monsters University Alumni Club. Inside the club, human visitors can browse a specialized tribute wall dedicated to the elite Scarer’s Club, honoring legendary scarers from university history. Entertainment and Shopping

Beyond the food, Monstropolis will offer brand-new entertainment and opportunities to bring a piece of the monster world home with you. "Welcome to Monstropolis" at the Glob Theater

Human guests are invited to attend a homespun stage show at the city's iconic Glob Theater. Hosted by Mike and Sulley, the show aims to highlight the hilarious similarities between humans and monsters. While Sulley has put together a heartwarming presentation, Mike Wazowski has planned a few show-stopping surprises to bring down the house.
